Darz Castle Farm is owned by Rachel Heffner Mains and Christopher Mains. We offer horseback riding lessons, boarding and training. Our mission is to assist riders and horses to reach their goals through excellence in horsemanship, classical and practical techniques, skills, practice, while remaining kind to horse and rider. Rachel started teaching lessons in 1993 in Malvern, Pa., Chester County. Darz Castle opened in Gettysburg, Pa. in July 1996, serving riders and horses with interest in pleasure, show, intercollegiate, reenactor, and trail rides. We currently offer private lessons for riders 12 years and older who are commited to learning the art of riding. Competitive training is available for Dressage, Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation.
